BETHESDA, Md. Due to the overwhelming response to the new Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) Impact Awards, the association has extended the deadline to submit nominations. Nominations will now be accepted through Friday, Sept. 10.
The award will annually honor four outstanding aftermarket professionals, age 45 or younger, and was created and will be administered by the AAIA marketing committee on behalf of the association.
“We are thrilled at the number of dynamic nominees we have already received for this inaugural award and the caliber of these young professionals who are already making such significant contributions to our industry,” said Kathleen Schmatz, AAIA president and CEO. “This long overdue award will recognize four of these shining stars, who are truly making a difference and making a real impact in the automotive aftermarket.”
Nominations are due by Friday, Sept. 10, and honorees will be notified in October. The award is open to anyone age 45 or younger, with relevant professional work experience, of which a minimum of two years must be in the automotive aftermarket. Winners will be selected by the AAIA Marketing and Member Relations Committee, and recommended to the AAIA Executive Committee for final approval. The four Impact Award winners will be recognized during the AAIA Town Hall Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at AAPEX in Las Vegas.
