Dayco To Showcase Technology, New Products This Week

Dayco will feature its Interactive Routing Guides and Demanding Drive Kits in booth No. 4026.

Dayco Demanding Drive KitsDayco will showcase its latest technology and products this week during AAPEX in booth No. 4026. Dayco will feature its Interactive Routing Guides and Demanding Drive Kits during the three-day exhibition, both built with the professional technician and DIY customers in mind, according to the company.

Designed for the replacement of worn or damaged serpentine belts, tensioners and pulleys, Dayco Demanding Drive Kits are a convenient solution when replacing all of the major components in the accessory drive system, Dayco says. Engineered for drives that are prone to belt noise and warranty claims in the North American market, Dayco’s kits cover nearly 40 million vehicles in operation. Exclusive to these kits is the newly developed Dayco Poly Rib W² Serpentine Belt. The belt is engineered to provide a better solution on applications associated with noise caused by misalignment, an ongoing problem on high-mileage vehicles.

“We have tested this belt on the most demanding drives during real-world use and can say it is the quietest belt we’ve produced for our market,” said Ed Rammel, president of the North American and Australian Aftermarket for Dayco. “The belt also features a new rib material, which provides a consistent rib surface throughout the life of the belt, while eliminating noisy belt conditions.”

Dayco also will demonstrate the use of Interactive Routing Guides, a new addition to its award-winning North American Aftermarket website, DaycoProducts.com. This feature, which gives end-users a more efficient way to find replacements parts, shows all related parts used on specific applications along with the placement of those parts within the actual routing. This allows for the easy identification and replacement of all engine components at one time, such as belts, tensioners, pulleys and harmonic balancers. Technical service bulletins, installation videos and product specifications also are available in the Dayco Online Catalog, which is linked to all Interactive Routing Guides.

“Misalignment continues to be the No. 1 cause of belt noise and it is important that counter personnel, professional technicians and do-it-yourself customers understand the maintenance needs of the entire belt drive system,” said Robert Christy, director of Marketing for Dayco. “Our Interactive Routing Guides give users the information needed to help with selling, inspecting and replacing all necessary parts.”
