Dayco, a leading global engine management technologies supplier for the automotive, industrial and aftermarket end-markets, has been selected as a recipient of the 2015 Silver Supplier Certification, part of Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process. The award, presented to the Dayco belt tensioner and idler pulley manufacturing facility in Wujiang, China, recognizes suppliers that have achieved Caterpillar Quality Management System supplier certification.

Through demonstrated results, Dayco has exhibited excellent process control, has shown a desire for ongoing continuous improvement, and has provided quality product to their Caterpillar customers, according to Caterpillar. Dayco supplies both belt tensioners and idler pulleys to Caterpillar for its 1100 and 1200 series engines, along with industry-leading technical and sales support.

Dayco opened the Wujiang facility in 2011, its first automotive unit in China. Since then, Dayco’s position in China has become an important part of its growth strategy. Earlier this year, Dayco held its first distributors conference in China.
