The Data Account Specialist is responsible for successfully managing data relationships with key strategic partners. This position will also be required to manage multiple internal projects concurrently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing relationships with key strategic accounts.
• Manage the product data export process for customers/partners in their specified formats.
• Develop and create files for catalog data, part data and images and transmit files to customers.
• Responsible for account status reports to ensure accurate and timely updating of electronic data files.
• Leads communication with our customers/partners and eCatalog Team on issues and opportunities in regards to product data.
• Establish and manage timelines for product data rollouts with inputs from other departments.
• Identify and develop process improvements for locating data in customer systems.
• Project Manager for small and medium sized department projects.
• Lead all phases of the project through planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
• Create and maintain project plans to the standards defined in Dorman’s Project Management Process.
• Manage and communicate the expectations of project steering committees/sponsors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with everyone throughout the extended enterprise as needed to achieve project success.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Travel as required to customer sites and market places for continuous improvement of product data information.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects including working with/managing tasks for contributors from other areas of the business.
• Experience with database programs, particularly Microsoft Access, preferred.
• Experience with industry validation tables and data delivery formats.
• Project Management experience desired.
• Solid understanding of project management fundamentals
• Displays effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication
• Ability to lead a group to arrive at consensus
• Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solver.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
