TOLEDO, OH — Dana Corp. this week named George Wilkinson to the position of vice president of Global Logistics. In this role, Wilkinson will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Dana’s global logistics strategy. He will maintain authority and responsibility for all transportation within Dana Corp. Additionally Wilkinson will develop a transportation function, which will be designed to more effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of the company’s global transportation.
Wilkinson joined Dana from General Motors, where he most recently served as executive director of Global Logistics with responsibility for GM’s global logistics supply chain. In this role, he led the efforts of four regional directors to ensure the implementation of a globally cohesive supply chain strategy. Wilkinson joined General Motors in 1984, serving in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility in the materials, inventory, purchasing, quality assurance, logistics and delivery disciplines. Among these positions was a three-year assignment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he served as logistics manager for General Motors Argentina.
