Corteco Celebrates 35th Anniversary Of TransTec Transmission Kits

Company to recognize milestone by awarding a 2014 motorcycle and other prizes.

MILAN, Ohio – Corteco, the aftermarket business of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, is celebrating the 35th anniversary of TransTec brand transmission kits by giving away a 2014 motorcycle to one lucky transmission professional. The grand prize drawing will be held on April 15, and culminates 35 years of serving the transmission aftermarket with a leading brand of automatic transmission overhaul kits.

TransTec Industries, the aftermarket arm of International Packings Corp. (better known as IPC), began packaging TransTec rebuild kits for automatic transmissions in Milan, Ohio, in 1978.  By 1984, TransTec became the leading brand of automatic transmission rebuild kits.

Patty Richards, senior marketing manager for Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, remembers the exponential growth TransTec kits experienced. “The market was ready for a dependable kit supplier offering quality components. From day one, TransTec focused on supplying the best parts and technical support, which was a winning formula,” said Richards.

Today, sales of TransTec kits reflect a 35-year commitment to quality and technical support. According to TransTec, transmission professionals install more TransTec kits than all other kits combined.

“We have been continually blessed these past 35 years and are excited to celebrate this milestone by awarding prizes to transmission professionals,” said Curt Wormington, commercial director for Corteco. “Our growth and progress are a direct result of these skilled and dedicated individuals who have trusted the TransTec brand over the years.”

Corteco will announce the winner of the 2014 motorcycle and other prizes on April 15th. Visit http://www.transtec35.com for more information.
