ORLAND PARK, Ill. Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) organizers are reporting strong supplier response for the 2012 event, with an increase of more than 23 percent of the HDAW 2012 Product Expo exhibit spaces reserved by more than 97 HDAW exhibiting suppliers, compared to the same registration period for the 2011 conference. HDAW ‘12 will be held Jan. 20-26, 2012, at the Mirage, Las Vegas.
Suppliers who responded to an HDAW survey say they plan again to use the HDAW Product Expo to introduce their latest products and programs and to promote new services. HDAW‘12 provides heavy duty suppliers the opportunity to display their product lines to the top heavy duty aftermarket distributors in the U.S.
"We are very encouraged at the early and positive response by the supplier community this far in advance of the conference,” said Mike Betts, HDAW‘12 co-chairman. “We expect the numbers will continue to grow, which speaks well to the continuing success of the event, even in light of the headwinds in a difficult business climate.”
Additionally, HDAW organizers have announced that Robert Richman, product manager of Zappos Insights, the Zappos Family company, will be the keynote speaker during the HDAW opening general session.
Zappos, listed as the No. 6 Best Place to Work list by Fortune magazine, is dedicated to helping businesses develop and nurture corporate culture. Its highly recognized approach ties into HDAW’s theme: “Corporate Culture: The Foundation for Success.”
More than 1,000 people tour the Zappos headquarters every month to learn how they create a culture where people actually enjoy their Monday mornings. In his keynote address, Richman will share how the Zappos family has learned to serve its two most valuable assets: its employees and its customers, and the exact ways that you can create world-class service and culture in your own company.
Prior to joining Zappos, Richman developed digital marketing strategies for brands including Tony Robbins, Sony, Billboard and best-selling authors. Richman co-founded Affinity Lab, a collaborative workspace for entrepreneurs that continues to graduate more than 150 businesses in Washington, D.C. He also is a Georgetown-trained leadership coach, delivering keynote speeches on company culture and advising leaders how to create self-sustaining cultures in their own organizations.
