RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — The California/Nevada/Arizona Automotive Wholesalers Association’s (CAWA) has announced the recipients for the 2009 Memorial Scholarship Program. The selected students will each receive funds toward their 2009 academic year.
"Not only are we pleased to be awarding nine scholarships this year, we are pleased that we continue to award them to deserving students from each state CAWA represents, which are California, Nevada and Arizona," said CAWA Scholarship Task Force Chair, Borise Cota of Akebono.
Nestor Carlos of Hayward, Calif., was selected to receive the Mort Schwartz Award, which is the highest award granted and is named after the scholarship program’s founder and former CAWA Chair of the Board, Mort Schwartz. Carlos is attending Chabot College.

Scholarship applications are now being accepted for 2010. Apply online at www.automotivescholarships.com. Applicants may be qualified for more than one scholarship, but only need to submit one application.
