RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Catherine Boland has joined the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) as director of government affairs based in the association’s Washington, D.C., office.
“Catherine’s experience with two prominent U.S. senators makes her an excellent addition to our MEMA team in Washington, D.C.,” said Ann Wilson, MEMA vice president of government affairs. “We are excited to have someone with her experience and level of working knowledge on the Hill with MEMA.”
Boland’s duties include leading the lobbying efforts in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate on behalf of MEMA’s original equipment, aftermarket and heavy duty members. She will represent the industry on a wide range of legislative priorities including vehicle technology, heavy duty emissions incentives and steel pricing.
Before joining MEMA, Boland served as a legislative assistant for Sen. George V. Voinovich (R-OH) in his Washington, D.C., office. Her experience also includes working as a legislative correspondent in the Washington office of Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-OK).
Boland earned her bachelor of arts degree in politics, with a minor in philosophy, from The Catholic University Of America, Washington, D.C.
