RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. Bryan Murphy, managing director, WHI solutions and eBay senior director, will discuss “eBay and WHI: Strange Bedfellows or Aftermarket Synergies?” at the Fall Conference of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Technology Council (ATC) on Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Marco Island, Fla.
eBay acquired WHI, a provider of software and digital catalog solutions for auto parts distributors and retailers, in February. Murphy will discuss the expanded selection and access to enhanced structured data that WHI brings to eBay Motors and how it will enable parts retailers, distributors, dealers and manufacturers to reach more customers.
The ATC Fall Conference 2012 is set for Sunday, Oct. 14, through Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Marco Island Marriott, Marco Island, Fla. This year’s event is focused on the theme “Intersection of Business & Technology.”
“Technology professionals will be interested in Bryan’s perspective on the expansion of e-tailing in the automotive aftermarket and this new relation between eBay and WHI,” said Chris Gardner, AASA vice president. “The annual ATC Fall Conference is the only event in our industry focused on the needs of aftermarket supplier technology professionals and their channel partners. Bryan’s discussion, coupled with his experience at WHI, will make this one of the most anticipated presentations at this year’s event.”
The event is designed for professionals working for automotive aftermarket suppliers, who are responsible for their company’s customer service, business support, e-commerce, information services, cataloging, forecasting, supply chain, EDI, IT/IS and Web services. Channel partners are also encouraged to attend to engage in discussions with suppliers on the technologies that will change how business is done in the aftermarket in the future.
