Bosch Announces Extended Disc Brake Coverage

Also announces availability of 2012 Quietcast brake pad catalog.

BROADVIEW, Ill. – Bosch has announced expansion of the QuietCast line of premium pads by 73 new late-model part  numbers.

Bosch says these new expanded part numbers increase the already existing full-line coverage by more than 150 different makes and models. The new part numbers fit a host of popular domestic and import applications including 2012 models, enabling parts stores and auto repair shops to meet the needs of their customers, and assuring DIYers that the brakes they need are readily available, according to Bosch.

New coverage includes recent models of:

* Ford Explorer, Focus, Escape, Mustang and F-series pickup trucks

* Chevrolet Camaro RS, Silverado, and Corvette ZR1, Z06, and Grand Sport

* Chrysler, all 200 and 300 series including SRT

* Hyundai Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Genesis and Equus

* Volkswagen Passat and New Jetta

In addition to expanded market coverage, Bosch has introduced its new 2012 catalog for QuietCast disc brake pads, available immediately. The catalog features expanded coverage for domestic and imported cars and light trucks, including many 2012 models. The catalog content is also available in electronic format at www.boschautoparts.com.

Bosch QuietCast disc brake pads feature application-specific friction material carefully formulated and integrally molded. QuietCast brake pads offer platform-specific ceramic, semi-metallic and non-asbestos organic (NAO) formulations, selected to match OE friction type for the 95 percent coverage offered for Asian, Domestic and European automobiles, light trucks and SUVs throughout the United States and Canada. A key feature of QuietCast disc brake pads is vulcanized rubber-core shims, and many configurations include Molded Shim Technology (MST), exclusive to Bosch QuietCast, which adds long-lasting anti-squeal characteristics to the platform-specific friction formulations, the company says.
