CONROE, Texas The Blue Magic brand of high-quality automotive appearance and repair products recently debuted its "first-of-its-kind" Supreme Wheel & Tire Care Kit this spring. As part of the marketing efforts for this new product, the company’s CEO is putting himself on the road to spread his passion for the product and get it moving off of store shelves.
Jerry O’Pry, Blue Magic’s CEO, said he placed a substantial wager when he convinced his company this kit was just what the marketplace needed. Now he’s out to prove he was right and ensure Blue Magic sells a target 67,000 kits by mid-June. To hit that goal (and keep his job), there are few things O’Pry says he will be doing, including pounding the pavement himself as part of an initiative dubbed "Go Jerry Go." His mission: to personally introduce the Supreme Wheel & Tire Care Kit to as many people as possible.
The new Supreme Wheel & Tire Care Kit, which includes Supreme Tire Shine, Supreme Bristle Brush and a Microfiber Towel, is designed to take the guesswork out of buying multiple products to clean wheels, clean tires and also shine tires. The product in the kit is Blue Magic’s Supreme Wheel & Tire Cleaner, a thick gel formulated to cut through brake dust, grease, grime and road grit. A unique aerating sprayer turns the gel into a slow dissolving foam, which gives the cleaning agents in the foam time to act. The foaming trigger also sprays from any direction including upside down making it easy to coat and clean all those tough places to reach on your wheels and tires, according to the company.
The kits began hitting shelves at Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone and O’Reilly Auto Parts earlier this year. And shortly after, O’Pry hit the road, attending events, doing demos and even cleaning people’s tires at a recent stop at one Advance Auto Parts store.
"This is a fantastic combination of products we’ve put together in our Supreme Wheel & Tire Care Kit, and no one believes in this product more than I do," said O’Pry. "We’ve found that once people see a demonstration, they can’t help but buy it and try it. And who better to be out there showing people how to use this product than me?"
Blue Magic has launched a website, GoJerryGo.com, to help chronicle Jerry’s adventures. Consumers can visit the website to download a "Jerry Buck" coupon or rebate to save $5 off the kits. They can also submit a photo for a chance to win O’Pry’s car, which he is giving away to further demonstrate his commitment to this product’s success. Consumers can follow O’Pry’s quest via a counter on the site that tracks how many days and how many kits remain for Jerry to hit his goal. Consumers can also follow Jerry’s journey on Twitter at Twitter.com/Jerry_Opry.
