ELGIN , IL — SKF has announced that William "Bill" Diggory will become responsible for business development within the SKF Automotive Division, North America , effective immediately. Diggory will report directly to George Dettloff, president, SKF Automotive Division, North America and president, SKF USA Inc.
Diggory will focus on business development activities and initiatives in support of SKF Automotive Division’s strategic goals. He will pursue products and services not currently being sold through SKF’s Automotive Division channels, and will utilize the company’s five competency platforms to explore new market opportunities.
Serving the vehicle service industry for more than 40 years, Diggory has dedicated many hours toward educating young leaders in the aftermarket. Diggory has been involved with the University of Illinois as an instructor of marketing for its Executive Enhancement Program, and has been recognized on several occasions for his personal dedication and contributions to Northwood University .
Additionally, Diggory has been an enthusiastic member of the education committees of a number of aftermarket support groups, including serving as chairman of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, and as director of the Automotive Sales Council and Heavy Duty Business Forum.
Diggory will continue to work from SKF’s Elgin , IL , office. SKF will name his successor in the near future.
