LAS VEGAS Last week at AAPEX in Las Vegas, Bendix introduced its all-new Bendix Ceramic High-Performance Synthetic Brake Lubricant.
With brake change intervals continuing to climb, more customers may notice increased caliper noise. As brake pads are forced into contact with rapidly-spinning rotors, friction between the working surfaces induces vibration in the pad assemblies. Proper lubrication is necessary to help brakes perform quietly, smoothly and deliver long, dependable service, according to Bendix.
According to Bendix, its new Bendix Ceramic High-Performance Brake Lubricant lasts longer than traditional petroleum-based lubricants. Only a thin layer of this lubricant is needed to fill surface roughness. Unaffected by salt, weather or brake fluid, it is designed to last the life of the brake pads and shoes, the company said.
Bendix says additional product benefits include reduced noise compared to untreated brakes, a wide operating temperature range (important for performance-oriented drivers who tend to stress their brakes more often than typical drivers), and the prevention of rust and corrosion.
Distributors interested in learning more about the new ceramic high-performance lubricant should contact their Friction Materials sales representative or email [email protected]. Technicians should contact their local Bendix Brakes distributor.
