Axalta Coating Systems Earns Daimler Supplier Award

The Daimler Supplier Award honors suppliers for above-average performance and partnership collaboration at an annual event. Performance is measured in terms of quality, cost, reliable delivery and innovative strength.

Axalta Coating Systems was among 10 suppliers honored by Daimler AG for outstanding performance during the past financial year with the 2015 Daimler Supplier Award. A leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, Axalta was awarded in the Global Procurement Trucks and Buses category for the supply of top quality painting materials.

Axalta - Daimler Award“On behalf of the global Axalta team, we are very proud to be recognized by Daimler,” said Joseph Wood, Axalta Coating Systems commercial transportation vice president. “This award is proof positive that our team’s outstanding efforts are working and that the Axalta commitment to service and innovation is strong.”

The coveted prizes in the categories of quality, partnership and innovation were awarded at the Mercedes-Benz branch in Stuttgart, Germany, for the eighth time in front of an audience of around 450 invited guests from the supplier industry.

The Daimler Supplier Award honors suppliers for above-average performance and partnership collaboration at an annual event. Performance is measured in terms of quality, cost, reliable delivery and innovative strength. The company says the partnership between Daimler and its suppliers is based on trust and open communication. It is a relationship that also includes the observance of sustainable business practices, which are intended to create incentives for suppliers to improve on a continuous basis in existing and new markets.
