Automotive Distribution Network Appoints Senior Vice President

This new position will be filled with the promotion of David Prater, currently vice president of product, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Network. Prater started in the accounting department at Parts Plus in 1984, working his way to the product department and ultimately to director of product in 1995.

MEMPHIS, TENN. – The Automotive Distribution Network (ADN) has announced the creation of a new position, senior vice president. This new position will be filled with the promotion of David Prater, currently vice president of product, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Network.

“Promoting David to this new position is an important step for the Network as we continue to grow with our mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances,” said Lambert. “With CMB and most recently Auto Pride coming into the association, David’s talents and experiences are best suited to this unique and diverse group.”

Prater started in the accounting department at Parts Plus in 1984, working his way to the product department and ultimately to director of product in 1995. In 2008, David briefly left to become president of CMB Marketing, which became a part of the Network in 2009.

“I’ve been involved in the aftermarket for over 25 years now, and this the most excited I have been about any position I’ve had,” said Prater. “This chapter in my career is a rare opportunity to mold a new position within the association and create something unique.”
