Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper Receive Auto Care ACE Awards

The 2022 Auto Care Association ACE Awards were presented at Auto Care’s Fall Leadership Days in Denver, Colorado.

Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper announced they have received the 2022 Auto Care Association ACE Award for a Large Company. In addition to that, The Detroit Garage, one of Auto Value’s Certified Service Centers, accepted the ACE Award for a Small Company.

“As representatives of our 4,000 Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper locations, we’re honored to accept this award on behalf of the training, education and never-ending focus on growth within our organization,” said JC Washbish, vice president of sales and marketing for Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper. “This relentless focus will culminate when more than 3,000 technicians, shop owners, warehouse distributors and valued channel partners take the floor during the 2022 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas. Our Jackpot Convention allows for these participants to visit in-person with more than 200 of our channel partners in engaging, interactive, hands-on training.”

The Auto Care Association Auto Care Career and Education (ACE) Award recognizes auto care companies dedicated to excellence in education. The award was initially created by the Auto Care Association Education Committee to acknowledge aftermarket companies dedicated to employee professional development and growth. As the industry adapts and innovates to changing business needs, the award has been expanded to recognize industry companies dedicated to investing in the growth of knowledge and skills within their organization and/or throughout the industry. ACE award-winning companies are acknowledged as leaders in the industry.

The Detroit Garage’s owner, Andy Massoll couldn’t agree more. “To be recognized by your peers is the ultimate standard,” he said. Massoll’s organization is comprised of eight service centers located throughout metro Detroit, and four service centers in Florida. His nomination for the award was predicated on continuous efforts made to educate his entire staff, from technicians to service advisors to his leadership team.

But the most notable educating happens outside Andy’s shop walls, the Alliance points out. Massoll has dedicated countless hours to educating his home state of Michigan’s elected officials on the critical issue of Right to Repair. Hosting legislators, as well as other shop owners, in their garages to discuss Right to Repair has led Andy to begin other important conversations critical to the industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Andy and his team worked with the Auto Care Association and his legislators to help ensure local shops were observing best practices.
