ASTA Names New Board President

Mike Allen, owner of CarFix with three locations in North Carolina, has been named board president.

The Automotive Service and Tire Alliance (ASTA) has named Mike Allen, owner of CarFix with three locations in North Carolina, has been named board president. In a letter to members, Allen said key focus areas for the association in 2024 will be training, networking events, workforce development, legislative action and vendor programs.

“As someone who has been a dedicated member of the association for over 10 years, and with my father’s legacy of membership spanning nearly 20 years before me, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact this organization has had on my family’s business and the North Carolina automotive and tire industry,” Allen said. “It is with great pride that I take on this responsibility to continue fostering growth, collaboration and excellence within our ranks. Our association stands poised to achieve remarkable strides in the coming year.”

The organization also inducted its new board members during a holiday luncheon in December. Those include: Tonnika Haynes of Brown’s Automotive; Randy O’Connor of Dealer 2 Dealer; Sara Walker of Walker NAPA; and Jim Cokonis along with Allen.

ASTA is also offering individual memberships for individual aftermarket professionals, technicians, service advisors and shop employees without access to ASTA benefits through their employer. To learn more, visit here.
