ASCO Celebrates 50 Years in Business

Parts Plus WD Auto Supply Company Inc. (ASCO), in Winston-Salem, N.C., is celebrating 50 years of doing business. Founded by Charles Key, Sr. in 1954, ASCO grew from a redistributing jobber to a successful warehouse in the 70s to a WD operation which today has 20 branch locations and more than 1,500 accounts. The WD serves territories in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Hickory and Charlotte, N.C.

MEMPHIS, TN — Parts Plus WD Auto Supply Company Inc. (ASCO), in Winston-Salem, N.C., is celebrating 50 years of doing business.

Founded by Charles Key, Sr. in 1954, ASCO grew from a redistributing jobber to a successful warehouse in the 70s to a WD operation which today has 20 branch locations and more than 1,500 accounts. The WD serves territories in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Hickory and Charlotte, N.C.

“We’re proud to call ASCO a member of the Parts Plus family,” said Mike Lambert, president of Parts Plus.

ASCO will celebrate its 50th anniversary with gatherings with the company’s 320 employees as well as customers. “We wanted every member of our family to feel involved with ASCO’s 50th anniversary,” said Charles (Charlie) Key Jr.
