CHANTILLY, Va. Peter Bartel was appointed chairman of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s (APRA) European Division during the recent European Board meeting held Feb. 6 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Bartel stated, “APRA, as the ‘voice of the reman industry,’ has the task to develop the remanufacturing business. To achieve sustainable success, APRA has to promote the environmental and social advantages of quality reman products and reman production. APRA will continue its successful work in Europe which began in 1987.”
Bartel has been working in the remanufacturing industry for about two decades, particularly on turbos, rotating machines and core management. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Berufsakademie Mannheim (Germany) and works as senior expert for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket.
Bartel has served as a member of the APRA Europe board since 2009.
