APH Hosts Conference, Introduces New Leadership Team

A record-setting 500 store managers, salespeople, suppliers and guests were in attendance at APH's annual Winter Conference.

Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc. (APH) announced a record-setting 500 store managers, salespeople, suppliers and guests were in attendance at its annual Winter Conference, its first in-person conference since 2020.

The four-day gathering featured a product expo, support center tour, awards banquet, supplier seminars and a keynote speaker. The event also welcomed many first-time attendees, including those from the Weaver and Sturdevant’s store teams, as well as six new members to APH’s leadership team.

CEO Corey Bartlett introduced the six new members to the leadership team during the conference’s kickoff. John Gerold joins the company as CFO, Amy Kiefer as president, Nathan Ruland as vice president of stores – eastern division, Tim Gardner as vice president of stores – western division, Wendy Mauk as inventory manager, and Andy Schuurs, in a newly created role, as director of e-commerce.

“John, Amy, Nathan, Tim, Wendy and Andy add significant experience and leadership expertise to our store support team,” said Bartlett. “Each one will play an essential role in continuing to grow our business. We’re delighted to welcome each of them to the APH family.”

JC Washbish, vice president of sales and marketing at the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, was the keynote speaker and provided an Alliance and industry update, as well as an electric vehicle forecast and a current status report on Right to Repair legislation.

Store managers and salespeople also participated in a variety of training and development opportunities, including a product expo, support center tour, and product and industry updates. Suppliers featured during the small group sessions included VDO, MacPherson, WIX, East Penn, BBB, Dorman, SMP and Prestone.

“The conference was packed, the energy level was high, and the opportunities to connect and grow were incredible,” added Bartlett. “Everyone left with new ideas and solid plans to attack their markets. I am excited for 2023 to continue down the record-setting path and be another outstanding year for our stores and customers!”
