COLLEYVILLE, Texas — The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) will honor its 20th class of Accredited Automotive Managers (AAMs) with a formal cap and gown ceremony the evening of Friday, Aug. 1 during the new Industry Week 2014 in Detroit, Mich.

The AAM designation is awarded to automotive service professionals who successfully complete coursework and earn 120 credits of management education. More than 1,700 individuals in all have earned the AAM designation and approximately 100 new graduates are added each year.

The graduation ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Automotive Service Association (ASA) “Celebration of Excellence” held during Industry Week at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit.

Industry Week 2014 is set for July 28 through Aug. 2 at the COBO Center in Detroit, Mich., and will co-locate several of the industry’s key events, including the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE), the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS), the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) Conference, and the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meeting.

“Many events are planned for Industry Week 2014, giving our new graduates an exciting forum during which to be honored,” said AMI Executive Director Toni Slaton, AAM. “This year’s event will also offer more training, education and networking opportunities than ever before for our new graduates and students.”
