MUSKEGON, Mich. AGS (American Grease Stick) Co. signed an electronic cataloging agreement with Illumaware on July 7 to use Evokat 2.5, Illumaware’s Web-based data authoring tool to create, manage and transmit its PIES data. The PIES data standard is fast becoming a mandatory requirement for doing business with more and more resellers in the automotive aftermarket, most notably Advance Auto.
"We chose Illumaware as our electronic cataloging solution provider because we can use Evokat to send PIES compliant files to all of our Trading Partners, as often as we want, at no additional charge beyond our monthly subscription fee," said Christian Byar, AGS’s director of marketing. "We still control our own data and do not have to wait for a third party to process and send it to our customers."
In addition, Byar said, "Illumaware’s close relationship with 1SYNC, our link to the GDSN (Global Synchronization Data Network), will enable us to send our customers validated and synchronized files more efficiently than ever."
