Advance Auto Parts Names Walter Scott Vice President, E-Commerce Commercial

Scott most recently served as vice president, marketing and e-commerce for Corporate Express, where he was responsible for the company's e-commerce business and served as the organization's chief marketing leader.

ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts has appointed Walter Scott as vice president, e-commerce – commercial. Scott will be responsible for managing the commercial e-commerce business for the company, which includes the development of features and functions of the commercial e-commerce platform. He will report to Scott Bauhofer, senior vice president and general manager – e-commerce, and will be based in Roanoke, Va.

“I am pleased to have Walter joining our e-commerce Team,” said Bauhofer. “He is an experienced sales and marketing leader with a proven record for delivering superior sales and profit performance through the development and execution of game changing go-to-market strategies.”

Scott most recently served as vice president, marketing and e-commerce for Corporate Express, where he was responsible for the company’s e-commerce business and served as the organization’s chief marketing leader. Prior to that, Scott served as vice president, corporate express brands and business solutions and director of strategic planning, both for Corporate Express. Prior to joining Corporate Express, Scott held general management and strategic leadership positions for organizations in the automotive aftermarket, transportation and private label manufacturer industries, where he was responsible for developing and implementing programs to help them improve profitability and regain sales leadership.

Scott holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School and a bachelor of science in accounting from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.
