ROANOKE, Va. Advance Auto Parts has announced the appointment of Chris Hagestad as vice president, merchandising, parts. Hagestad will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the company’s parts and back room merchandising strategy. Hagestad will report to Charles Tyson, senior vice president, merchandising, and will relocate to Roanoke, Va.

Prior to joining Advance, Hagestad most recently served as national account manager at VDG. Prior to VDG, Hagestad spent 20 years with Target in a number of leadership positions within merchandising, including division sourcing manager and director of merchandise planning for hardlines. He also has extensive experience as a buyer across several product lines and within merchandise planning.
