LAS VEGAS — Activant Solutions introduced its next generation of eCatalog technologies last week in Las Vegas during AAPEX. The company launched two new products at the show — Activant Cover-to-Cover for PartExpert, LaserCat and ShopCat users, and the stand-alone Activant Catalyst Web Version.

Created through years of research and customer input, these two new eCat products were engineered to enable virtually any automotive supply chain business to enhance its efficiency and accuracy through an array of exclusive features. With integrated “cover-to-cover” data such as images and product specifications, these products can help reduce mistakes, speed up part identification and enhance customer service, according to the company.

“Empowering the parts counterperson with better, smarter tools and more information so they are more productive is imperative in today’s parts and service environment,” said Steve Bieszczat, vice president of information services for Activant. “Activant Cover-to-Cover and the Web version of our new Catalyst product will enable distributors and jobbers to build a sustainable competitive advantage where it’s most needed — at the parts counter.”

Key features of the new products include Activant Cover-to-Cover, designed to emulate the comprehensive nature of a printed master catalog; and Activant Catalyst – Web Version, a portable stand-alone eCat designed to help distributors transform the way they serve their customers.
