AASA to Discuss, ‘Snapshot of the Auto Industry and the Effect on the Aftermarket’ Nov. 5 at AAPEX

This seminar will feature subject-matter experts reviewing the major issues emerging from the automotive industry restructuring and the short-term and long-term affects on the North American automotive aftermarket.

The seminar, “Snapshot of the Auto Industry and the Effect on the Aftermarket” – presented by AASA from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, in Room 705, the Venetian – will examine the unprecedented turmoil and change experienced by the North American automotive industry in the past 24 months.

This seminar will feature subject-matter experts reviewing the major issues emerging from the automotive industry restructuring and the short-term and long-term affects on the North American automotive aftermarket.

Speakers will include Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA; Mike Hanley, partner, global automotive leader, Ernst & Young; Bob McKenna, president and CEO of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA); and Ann Wilson, senior vice president of government affairs, MEMA.

Presentations will include: an aftermarket overview; a review of efforts to assist the automotive industry in Washington and the states; legislative and regulatory actions; and perspectives on the aftermarket’s future in North America and global markets by a major recognized thought-leader and analyst.

The seminar also will conclude with a question-and-answer session with the presenters.
