AAIA Town Hall to Feature ‘Politics and Pros’

The association notes that the event is nearly sold out, with only a limited number of tickets remaining.

BETHESDA, Md. – Tickets are selling out for the 2012 AAIA Town Hall, “Politics and Pros,” which will take place later this month at AAPEX in Las Vegas. Hosted by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), the Town Hall, sponsored by Polk, will be held at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31 in the Palazzo Ballroom in The Venetian Hotel.

Tim Rogers, Polk president, will present the popular annual “5 Trends in 5 Minutes,” outlining the top trends Polk sees impacting the automotive aftermarket including new vehicle sales, changes in vehicle age and mix and the OEMs impact through globalization and technology advances.

Political pundits Terry McAuliffe and Dan Bartlett will share and spar on key issues from predictions about who will win the presidential election to what public policy changes are ahead. Their insight and experience will provide an insider’s look at what’s ahead for the nation, the economy, politics and small business. McAuliffe is former chairman, Democratic National Committee, and Bartlett is former counselor to President George W. Bush.

Google’s automotive industry director Danielle Russell will mine exclusive Google data and analysis to reveal motivations, interests and influences as consumers shop for automotive maintenance products and services online. Google sends more than 40 million visits to parts and service websites each month.

Tickets for the 2012 AAIA Town Hall include a full buffet breakfast. To register, visit www.aftermarket.org and click on “Meetings/Events.” Individual tickets are $100 for AAIA members and $115 for non-members, and a table of 10 is $850 for AAIA members and $1,000 for non-members.

Polk, a provider of automotive information and marketing solutions, is the primary sponsor of Town Hall. Five member organizations of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) are contributing sponsors: Auto Value, Automotive Distribution Network, Bumper-to-Bumper, Federated Auto Parts and National Pronto Association.
