BETHESDA, Md. The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) recently recognized three outstanding volunteers at its Fall Leadership Days held Sept. 28 in Baltimore, Md.
Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, received the AAIA Aftermarket Advocate Award for his efforts in promoting the programs and events of AAIA and AWDA.
Jerry McCabe, principal, J&B Service, received the AAIA Visionary Award, given to the individual who demonstrates vision and imagination in the application of technology to the betterment of the aftermarket.
John Quirk, president and CEO of VIP Parts, Tires and Service, received the AAIA Outstanding Volunteer Leader Award for his leadership role in fundraising for the Chairmen’s Reception and education sessions at AAPEX.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our trade association. Without these dedicated individuals who donate their valuable time, AAIA could not be able to deliver quality programs to its members,” said Bob Egan, AAIA chair, and Federal-Mogul vice president, North America Global Aftermarket. “We are proud to honor Rusty, Jerry and John, three volunteer leaders who have made meaningful contributions to AAIA and the industry.”
