As Hurricane Idalia continues its path toward the Florida coastline, the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) is preparing to aid automotive aftermarket families that may be impacted by the hurricane.
The intensifying Category 1 hurricane, with sustained winds of 90 mph and higher gusts, is predicted to intensify, potentially making landfall as a strong Category 3 or Category 4 hurricane in the Big Bend region of Florida, AACF said. In response, AACF has pledged to stand by its mission and assist those in need during these challenging times, the organization said.
“Although AACF doesn’t claim to be a disaster relief service, we will do our best to identify and assist those industry families that have immediate needs in keeping with our mission to support aftermarket families facing catastrophic circumstances,” said Joel Ayres, executive director of AACF. “We acknowledge the uncertainty of the situation and express our gratitude for the industry’s support by sharing our message with its employees and team members.”
AACF said it stands ready to provide assistance, support and resources to automotive aftermarket families who find themselves impacted by the hurricane.
