CHANTILLY, Va. — Bill Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), has announced that the “International Remanufacturing Forum, held Dec. 6 in Shanghai, China, was an overwhelming success, with more than 115 people in attendance. APRA joined with Automechanika Shanghai as the co-organizers of this event, held just prior to Automechanika Shanghai on Dec. 7-10.
Gager stated, “China’s vehicle population is over 75 million and growing rapidly and the natural next-step for them will be a strong remanufacturing industry to care for their ageing vehicle population. For that reason APRA felt the time was right to host a Remanufacturing Forum in China to provide information and guidance to the country’s growing remanufacturing industry. We have numerous members throughout the world that will be able to sell equipment and cores to this emerging marketplace as they begin to develop their remanufacturing industry for their own motoring public.”
Joining the two organizers as co-sponsors of the Forum were the China Resource Recycle Association (CRRA), APRA’s European Division, the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group and APRA’s newly formed Asia Pacific Division.
