Leadership 2.0 Program Sold Out for Fourth Consecutive Year

A record 32 industry professionals have registered for the two week-long sessions of intensive industry analysis, problem solving and leadership skills training.

MIDLAND, Mich. – The 2011-2012 class of the University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 executive development program is officially sold out, with a record 32 industry professionals registered for the two week-long sessions of intensive industry analysis, problem solving and leadership skills training. Session I begins Sept. 11 in the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies on the campus of Northwood University in Midland, Mich.

Leadership 2.0 and other University of the Aftermarket programs are presented through significant financial support from the independent University of the Aftermarket Foundation and the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association.

“This is the fourth straight year we’ve had to turn away prospective students, and that’s a great indicator that Leadership 2.0 is viewed throughout the industry as a highly effective, results-based executive development experience,” said University of the Aftermarket Director Brian Cruickshank, MAAP. “We continue to see growing interest from aftermarket organizations of all sizes and every segment of the industry, from service dealers to manufacturers.”

Developed and delivered through a collaboration between industry leaders and the faculty of Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management, the Leadership 2.0 curriculum includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate on aftermarket challenges and competitive strategies, individual communication skills training, negotiations and conflict management, insight into supply chain solutions and other industry topics. Graduates earn 7.0 continuing education units that can be applied toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations.

Session II of the 2011-2012 program will take place April 15-20, 2012, on the Northwood campus in West Palm Beach, Fla.
