Meritor Appoints Christy Daehnert, Director, Investor Relations

In this position, Christy is responsible for communicating Meritor's financial information and strategic vision to the company's shareholders and other constituents.

TROY, Mich. — Meritor Inc. has appointed Christy Daehnert director, investor relations, effective July 15. Daehnert will report directly to Mary Lehmann, senior vice president, Treasury, Corporate Development, Communications and Investor Relations.

"We’re excited for Christy to take on this important financial role for the company. Her background and industry experience will serve us well as we continue to provide our investors with pertinent information," Lehmann said.

In this position, Christy is responsible for communicating Meritor’s financial information and strategic vision to the company’s shareholders and other constituents.

Previously Christy was director, finance, Aftermarket & Trailers, for Meritor. Prior to joining the company, she held positions of increasing responsibility in DaimlerChrysler’s finance department, following seven years with Coopers & Lybrand. Daehnert holds a master of business administration from Indiana University and a bachelor of science in accountancy from Walsh University. She also is a CPA.

Daehnert replaces Brett Penzkofer, who has assumed the position of senior director, Finance, Truck Americas. In this role, Penzkofer reports directly to Kevin Nowlan, vice president and controller.
