Bosch’s David Coolidge Heads Slate of 2011 AASA Board Officers

Five aftermarket executives join as new board members.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — David Coolidge, executive vice president, global automotive aftermarket division, Bosch Group, has been elected as 2011 chairman of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Board of Governors. 

In addition to Coolidge, new AASA officers include:

• First vice chairman – Jeff Brekke, president, global automotive aftermarket, Gates Corp.
• Second vice chairman – Jay Burkhart, senior vice president, global aftermarket, Federal-Mogul Corp.
• Immediate past chairman – Tom Ward, president, Snap-on Repair Systems & Information Group and senior vice president, Snap-on Inc.

Five automotive aftermarket executives have joined the AASA Board of Governors in 2011 as new members:

• Craig Breese, president, consumer products group, Honeywell
• Bruce Cole, president, Exide Americas
• Lucia Moretti, vice president, global independent aftermarket, Delphi
• Caroline Perrotta, manager, operations, Intraco/Casite; representing the AASA Overseas Automotive Council (OAC)
• Jay Sanchez, president, Remy Power Products, Remy International Aftermarket Division

Steve Handschuh, AASA president and COO, and Bob McKenna, president and CEO of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), AASA’s parent association, also serve on the AASA executive committee.

“We are pleased to have David as our 2011 chairman of the AASA Board of Governors, and thank Tom for his hard work on behalf of the association as the 2010 chairman,” said Handschuh. “We welcome our new members to the board and look forward to working together as AASA continues to serve as ‘The Voice for the Automotive Aftermarket Supplier Industry.’”

Continuing to serve on the AASA Board of Governors are:

• Michael McGrath, president, SKF, vehicle service market, North America
• Samuel J. Mitchell Jr., president, The Valvoline Co.
• Joseph Pomaranski, vice president, North American aftermarket, Tenneco Inc.
• Richard Shiozaki, senior vice president, aftermarket sales & corporate services, DENSO Sales California Inc.
• Keith Wilson, president, Affinia Global Filtration

AASA recognizes the following members who have completed their terms of service on the board and thanks them for their service:

• David C. Barbeau, executive vice president, The Marx Group
