Advance Auto Parts Announces Two New Executive Appointments

Advance Auto Parts today announced the promotion of Mike Pack to senior vice president, store operations for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic area and also announced that Carl Hauch will transition to the role of senior vice president, team member excellence from his current role as senior vice president, operations -- west.

ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts today announced the promotion of Mike Pack to senior vice president, store operations for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic area. Also today, Advance announced that Carl Hauch will transition to the role of senior vice president, team member excellence from his current role as senior vice president, operations – west.

Pack will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to approximately 1,000 stores within this area. He will report to Jim Wade, president, and will continue to be based in Virginia.

Pack joined Advance in 1996 and most recently served as regional vice president for the Mid-Atlantic Region which includes Maryland, Eastern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., Metro area, and as regional vice president for Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. Prior to those positions, he served as director, visual merchandising at the store support center and as a district manager and general manager in various areas around the country.

Hauch will transition to the role of senior vice president, team member excellence from his current role as senior vice president, operations – west, which he has held since joining the company in 2008.

In this new role, Hauch will be responsible for leading human resources and for guiding team member development strategies, systems and processes. He will report to Tami Kozikowski, chief development officer and will re-locate to Roanoke, Va.

Prior to joining Advance, Hauch worked for Starbucks Coffee Co., where he ultimately served as vice president, operations responsible for the strategic direction and profitability of 650 stores across nine states in the Mountain Region of the United States. Prior to that, he served as an international managing director and CEO for Starbucks in Switzerland and Austria, where he was responsible for setting strategic direction and overseeing the turnaround of operations in both countries. Hauch attended the Rutgers Graduate School of Management and holds a bachelor of arts in English with a minor in economics from Rutgers College.
