BROADVIEW, Ill. On March 15, Dan Sills joined Robert Bosch LLC as vice president, sales independent aftermarket. Sill has 15 years of sales and marketing experience in a number of different industries, including positions at Black & Decker and Newell Rubbermaid.
In his new role at Bosch, Sills is responsible for independent aftermarket sales in the United States, overseeing the national sales force. He will be located at the company’s Broadview, Ill., office, reporting directly to Odd Joergenrud, regional president, Automotive Aftermarket Division North America.
In addition, effective April 1, the Independent Aftermarket sales organization was realigned to provide closer customer relationships, integrate and leverage recent Bosch acquisitions and create a stronger, more unified footprint among automotive repair specialists, with an emphasis on providing product and technical training.
The new Independent Aftermarket Sales Force is composed of teams assigned by sales channel. Each team includes sales specialists in all auto parts categories (including braking and filtration), as well as Diagnostic and Wheel Service equipment specialists:
Three teams servicing national retail and mass merchandise customers;
Two teams focusing on program distribution groups and independent warehouse distributors;
One team dedicated to specialty customers, including tire chains and tune and lube outlets;
One team focusing on special projects and brake products; and
One team servicing heavy duty and diesel customers.
According to Bosch, this new sales organization best enables customer solutions for parts, equipment, service and training from a single-source supplier.
