Melling to Acquire Majority Ownership in Hytec DeBartolo LLC

JACKSON, Mich. — Melling Engine Parts has entered into an exclusive agreement to purchase majority equity ownership in Hytec DeBartolo LLC (dba Hytec Automotive). The due-diligence process is on-going and the company expects to have the transaction completed by year’s end.

Hytec Automotive is an engineering and manufacturing-based supplier of new water pumps to the North American aftermarket. Hytec Automotive offers extensive coverage on passenger car, light truck, medium and heavy duty truck, industrial, marine, high performance, domestic and import applications.

“The addition of the Hytec Automotive product line, with its engineering and manufacturing capabilities, allows us to extend our fluid pump expertise, enhancing our global manufacturing footprint and create stronger synergies to serve the worldwide transportation industry,” said Mark Melling, president and CEO of Melling Tool Co.
