MEMA Information Services Council Expands Customer E-commerce Matrix

Several suppliers and data receivers recently subscribed to the Matrix, adding to the application's content and enhancing its value.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association Information Services Council (MIS Council) has reported an uptick in subscriptions to its Customer E-commerce Matrix. The MIS Council Customer E-commerce Matrix is an online tool that enables members to identify the e-commerce standards and technologies required by all major aftermarket customers (resellers or data receivers). It includes product information (PIES), catalog (AAIA legacy and ACES), Web Services (IPO), EDI and delivery method information. Manufacturers can obtain the requirements of their top customers or prospects and can view versions, fields, documents and sunset dates.

Several suppliers and data receivers recently subscribed to the Matrix, adding to the application’s content and enhancing its value. Current subscribers include O’Reilly Auto Parts, Uni-Select, Advance Auto Parts, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Federated Auto Parts, National Pronto, Standard Motor Products, Robert Bosch, NGK Spark Plugs, Timken, Parker Hannifin, Peterson Manufacturing, CARDONE Industries, East Penn, Delphi and many more.
 
MIS Council E-commerce Matrix:
• Enables suppliers to identify and aggregate the technology and data standards required by customers to simplify internal processes by limiting data fulfillment to only the fields and documents required by pool of customers.
• Enables data receivers (channel partners) to specify the exact standards, versions, fields and documents they require.
• Reports the aggregate use of individual standards, versions, fields and documents.
• Includes product attribute, catalog application, EDI, special ordering network delivery.
• is available for FREE to anyone in the aftermarket
 
Its features for suppliers include:
• Requirements of all customers, top customers and/or prospects
• View limited to customers identified by supplier – cannot view profiles created by other suppliers
• Percent of customers that have required a standard or a specific field or a specific document (adoption level)
• Customer contact information for specific standards
• Versions of various standards
• Fields, documents and sunset dates of standards
 
 Through the MIS Council E-commerce Matrix, customers (data receivers) can:
• Enter/edit contact information
• Enter/edit standards, technologies, fields, documents, delivery methods required of suppliers
• View only information for their companies – information from any other data receiver is not accessible
