Consumer confidence rose in June, hitting its highest mark since February 2008, according to the latest Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers.
The survey noted the results indicate consumer expectations grew that the economic recession is easing.
The Reuters/University of Michigan survey posted an index of 70.8 for June, up from May’s 68.7 result and higher than analyst expectations of a 69.0 mark.
