Details of Virtual Aftermarket eForum Announced

The Aftermarket eForum will be conducted completely online through a virtual event portal powered by ON24 of San Francisco.

BETHESDA, Md. — The date for the first-ever Virtual Aftermarket eForum is set for Wednesday, Sept. 30. The eForum has become a traditional aftermarket educational symposium focused exclusively on e-commerce and business technology in the vehicle aftermarket. The planners chose to apply all of the latest web conferencing and virtual event technology to the eForum this year as a way of delivering the same valuable content with significant savings to attendees and vendor participants.

The Aftermarket eForum will be conducted completely online through a virtual event portal powered by ON24 of San Francisco (www.on24.com). The ON24 technology will provide a scalable and seamless experience for participants from the moment they register until the conference shuts down in March 2010.

All of the familiar and valued components of the conference will be available online.

The eForum will kick off on Sept. 30 with four streaming keynote presentations on leading technology topics with online interaction and Q&A with the presenters. Registered attendees will have access to download exclusive white papers, videos and other presentations from the eForum archive, which will be available for six months. Attendees will enjoy networking and discussion chats in the eForum lounge. Individuals will be able to search for others with similar interests and start discussion threads about the presentations or other topics.

A Virtual Vendor Trade Show will complete the eForum experience by giving attendees an opportunity to browse and visit with technology and solutions providers. Each virtual booth will include presentations, product demonstrations and collateral material, and the opportunity to chat directly with the vendor representatives. The Virtual Vendor Trade Show also will be available online for six months.

By hosting the Aftermarket eForum online, instead of at a physical site, attendees and exhibitors save on travel, lodging, meals and entertainment expenses. Having the event online also means that attendees can participate from around the world and by leaving the doors open for six months, virtually anyone can participate at the time most convenient for them.

The cost to attend the virtual Aftermarket eForum is $295. Attendees who register early and members of the sponsoring associations can save $200 and experience the virtual eForum for only $95.

The Aftermarket eForum is produced by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA).

Further information, pricing and a link to the online registration page are available at www.aftermarketeforum.com.
