SURVEY RESULTS: Readers Nearly Equally Mixed on Economic Outlook

Poll results show how difficult it can be to clearly predict the economy's future outlook.

Just as experts debated for months about whether the U.S. economy was in a recession or not, it is nearly impossible to truly predict when the economy will recover either. However, some economists believe that the U.S. economy will begin to rebound in the second half of this year. When we asked AMN readers for their predictions on the rate of our economy’s recovery, the results were almost evenly mixed.

The breakdown of results is as follows:

We have a long way to go. 36.21%

The economy will rebound in 2010.  32.76%

The economy will begin to bounce back in the second half of 2009. 31.03%

THIS WEEK’S POLL

Proponents of the Motor Vehicle Owners Right to Repair Act believe that the increased closure of car dealerships and their service bays means it’s more important than ever that independent repair shops have the same access to safety alerts and repair information as the new car dealer network. Tell us: Do you feel the increase in car dealership closings will have a positive impact on Right to Repair legislation?
