SURVEY RESULTS: Forty Percent to Maintain Trade Show Attendance This Year

Just over six percent said they will actually attend more trade shows this year.

In last week’s AMN Reader Poll, we asked what level of trade show participation you expect your company will have this year. It is to be expected that travel and trade show participation are among the first things to get cut back in troubled economic times, however studies show trade shows in particular offer great bang for your buck.

Just over 41 percent of survey respondents follow this theory, and said they will attend the same amount of trade shows as last year; while just slightly more than half of respondents said they will cut back. Just over six percent said they will actually attend more trade shows this year.

The breakdown of responses is as follows:

As you start the new year, how do you see your company’s trade show activity compared to 2008?

·    We will attend fewer trade shows: 51.61%

·    We will attend the same amount of trade shows: 41.94%

·    We will attend more trade shows: 6.45%

·    We never attend trade shows: 0%
