CHERRY HILL, NJ — Jill Bookman has been named CEO of American Collectors Insurance, Inc. (ACI). Bookman, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, will fill the newly created position immediately.
ACI is a national specialty provider of collector car, truck and motorcycle insurance.
A licensed insurance agent, Bookman worked as an account executive in the advertising industry before switching careers. She joined ACI as an insurance underwriter and was promoted to director of marketing in 1994. She later became vice president of sales and marketing.
Bookman has spearheaded such projects as ACI’s online collector vehicle “Quote Wizard.” Launched in 1995, it was one of the first auto insurance quoters on the internet and is still in use today. Bookman hosts a number of online “Ask the Insurance Expert” forums and is a spokesperson for American Collectors on radio shows such as “AutoWorld Radio” with Bob Long and “Goss’s Garage” with Pat Goss. She is a member of SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), ARMO (Automotive Restoration Market Organization), and a select committee member of the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network.
