Bosch Expands Corporate Affairs VP Position

Bosch Group has announced the expansion of Sylvia Vogt's current position -- vice president, corporate affairs for North America -- to include corporate affairs activities for South America. In this new role, Vogt is responsible for strategic planning and regional reporting, select cross-divisional and cross-regional projects, communications and public image management for the Americas region. She also will maintain her current responsibilities for communications activities, government and community relations and charitable contributions in North America.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Bosch Group has announced the expansion of Sylvia Vogt’s current position — vice president, corporate affairs for North America — to include corporate affairs activities for South America.

In this new role, Vogt is responsible for strategic planning and regional reporting, select cross-divisional and cross-regional projects, communications and public image management for the Americas region. She also will maintain her current responsibilities for communications activities, government and community relations and charitable contributions in North America.

Vogt has been with Bosch since 1994 in various legal counsel and contract management positions with assignments in Stuttgart, Germany, Chicago, Ill., and Farmington Hills, Mich. She was most recently vice president, chairman’s office and corporate affairs. Vogt earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in law from the law school at the University of Cologne, Germany.

In North America, the Bosch Group manufactures and markets automotive original equipment and aftermarket products, industrial automation and mobile products, power tools and accessories, security technology, packaging equipment and household appliances. Bosch employs more than 23,000 associates in facilities across North America and reported sales of $6.6 billion in 2003.
