Doddridge Resigns From Intermet Board of Directors

Former Intermet Corp. Chairman John Doddridge has announced his resignation from the company's board of directors, effective August 1, in order to devote more time to other business and personal interests. Doddridge stepped down as CEO of Intermet in July of 2003 and retired as chairman in July of this year. The company announced on July 15, 2004, CEO Gary Ruff had been elected to the additional post of chairman.

TROY, MI — Former Intermet Corp. Chairman John Doddridge has announced his resignation from the company’s board of directors, effective August 1, in order to devote more time to other business and personal interests.

Doddridge stepped down as CEO of Intermet in July of 2003 and retired as chairman in July of this year. The company announced on July 15, 2004, CEO Gary Ruff had been elected to the additional post of chairman.

Doddridge joined Intermet as chairman and CEO in 1994. Prior to joining Intermet, he was vice chairman and CEO of Magna International, where he also served as a director. Before Magna, he was president of North American Operations of Dana Corp., where he also served as president of Hayes-Dana Inc., a subsidiary of Dana Corp. Doddridge currently is a director of the Penske Corp.

Intermet is a manufacturer of powertrain, chassis/suspension and structural components for the automotive industry.
