TROY, MI — Delphi Corp. has announced several organizational changes for Delphi Product & Service Solutions, the company’s aftermarket and consumer products division.

John Short, managing director of Delphi Diesel Aftermarket has announced he will retire on Dec. 31 after more than 32 years with Lucas and Delphi in the automotive aftermarket. Short first became involved in the aftermarket in 1972, when he joined Lucas Electrical. Following various assignments in systems and marketing, he transferred to Lucas World Service as business development manager responsible for the development of international marketing, sales and service strategies. He was subsequently named marketing director of Lucas Electrical Parts & Service in 1987, general manager, electronics & switchgear for Lucas Aftermarket in 1990 and general manager, electronics & fueling for Lucas Aftermarket in 1993. Since Lucas Diesel became part of Delphi in 2000, Short has been responsible for the company’s global diesel aftermarket operations.

Michael Rayne, who currently serves as director of North American Diesel Aftermarket, will replace John Short. Rayne joined Lucas in 1969 as an electronics engineer. In 1978, he transferred to the U.S. as Lucas’ technical director, before being named general service manager in 1985 and general manager in 1997. At the time Lucas Diesel became part of Delphi, Rayne was named to his current position. He is presently responsible for a U.S. network of more than 400 Diesel Service Agents. In his new position, Rayne will relocate to the U.K. and will report directly to Francisco (Frank) Ordonez, president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions and vice president, Delphi Corp. from a global standpoint and to Bernhard Mrosek, managing director, Delphi Product & Service Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa, from a European coordination standpoint.

Dominic Seto, currently director of global engineering, service, manufacturing and quality, has been named managing director, Asia Pacific, reporting to Ordonez. In his new role, he will focus on significant growth opportunities in this region. Seto joined Delphi at its Packard Electric Division in 1980 as an electronics engineer. After various engineering assignments, he was named Packard’s managing director of Southern China in 1996, engineering director, Asia Pacific in 1998 and managing director, ASEAN (Association of South East Asia Nations), Australia and India in 2000, before assuming his current position in early 2001. A native of Hong Kong, Seto will relocate from Troy, Mich., to Shanghai.

Joginderpal (Jog) Lall, current acting director, Sales & Marketing Europe, will assume permanent responsibility of the European sales and marketing activity. In addition, he will continue to be the European Service Technologies & eBusiness director, as well as acting director for Benelux. Lall will continue to report to Bernhard Mrosek, managing director Delphi Product & Service Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa. All the country sales and marketing directors will report to Lall from a functional standpoint as well as the DISS business line director and the European brand and communications managers from an operational standpoint.

Lall joined Lockheed in 1998 as business development manager and was subsequently named European Service Technologies manager. Since AP Lockheed Automotive Ltd. became part of Delphi in 2000, Lall has assumed additional responsibility for eBusiness and, since January 2004, has served as acting director – sales & marketing Europe and for the Benelux.
