AKRON, OH — Counterman magazine, a Babcox publication, has named Michael Freeze as its new managing editor. Freeze was the former associate editor of Transportation & Distribution magazine. He was also the feature news provider for the publication’s Web site.
After his graduation from The University of Akron, Freeze was a staff writer for various publications in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to his extensive publication experience, Freeze was a communication specialist for Key Corp.’s investment division, Victory Capital Management.
Freeze served four years in the U.S. Navy, with tours of duty in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf. He resides in Canton, Ohio, with his wife, Candy.
