RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Two product line segments of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC) and the Transportation Safety Equipment Institute (TSEI) have elected new officers.
Richard Johnston, sales account manager for Delphi Automotive in Kettering, OH, was elected 2006-2007 chairman of the BMC at the group’s recent annual meeting. Ray Arbesman, chairman of NUCAP Industries Inc. in Toronto, Ontario, was elected vice chairman. Mohammad Vakili, manager, Friction Material Selection at Continental Teves in Auburn Hills, MI, was elected secretary/treasurer.
Dominic Grote, vice president of sales and marketing for Grote Industries Inc. in Madison, IN, was elected president of the TSEI during the group’s recent spring meeting. Jeffrey Giannelli, vice president of Cortina Tool & Molding Company Inc. in Franklin Park, IL, was elected vice president. Scot Tennant, director of sales and marketing at North American Signal Co. in Wheeling, IL, was elected treasurer.
Brad Van Riper, vice president of research and development at Truck-Lite Co. Inc. in Falconer, NY, and Kristen Goodson, product manager at Peterson Manufacturing Co. in Grandview, Mo., were elected as directors.
