Tulsa Winch Group Consolidates its U.S.-Based Manufacturing Operations

TULSA, OK – Tulsa Winch Group, a manufacturer of standard and engineered winch, gearbox and electronic load information systems, announced it will consolidate the operations and corporate functions of its dp Manufacturing and Greer Co. into Tulsa Winch Group’s headquarters in Jenks, OK.

California-based Greer Company develops electronic load information systems and accessories for mobile equipment manufacturers. The transition to Jenks is expected to be complete by year’s end. dp Manufacturing produces a full complement of winches for the utility and towing and recovery industries and the government. The transition to Tulsa Winch Group’s Jenks headquarters from its Tulsa location is expected to be complete by June 2008.

“As a customer-focused business, Tulsa Winch Group is dedicated to creating synergies that bring added value to our products and our brands,” said Steve Oden, president of Tulsa Winch Group. “By centralizing the operations of dp Winch and Greer Co. at our corporate headquarters, we can dramatically decrease our time-to-market, fully leverage our manufacturing capabilities and respond quicker to market demand.”

As part of the consolidation effort, Tulsa Winch Group will add 168,000-square-feet of office and manufacturing space to its headquarters facility to house an additional 280 employees from dp Manufacturing and Greer Co.

“We look forward to setting in motion this phase of Tulsa Winch Group’s strategic plan for strengthening our global growth through streamlined processes and enhanced capacity,” Oden added. “These actions will allow us to maintain our industry-leading position.”
