ATD Buys Out Homann Tire

American Tire Distributors (ATD) has acquired Texas’ Homann Tire Wholesale, which has some 1,600 customers across Texas and Louisiana. Homann Tire had five wholesale distribution centers and two retail stores, but ATD’s purchase does not include the retail outlets. The distribution centers are located in San Antonio, Killeen, Corpus Christi and Houston in Texas and Lafayette, LA.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — American Tire Distributors (ATD) has acquired Texas’ Homann Tire Wholesale, which has some 1,600 customers across Texas and Louisiana.

Homann Tire had five wholesale distribution centers and two retail stores, but ATD’s purchase does not include the retail outlets. The distribution centers are located in San Antonio, Killeen, Corpus Christi and Houston in Texas and Lafayette, LA.

They have built a strong distribution business with a focus on providing excellent customer service,” said Dick Johnson, ATD’s chairman and CEO. “The Homann Tire operation, including its strong team of people, will be an excellent complement to the current ATD distribution center network in Texas. In addition, we look forward to servicing the customers across southern Louisiana with our first distribution point in that state.”
